This is the fourth newsletter from Final Frontier Media. You can
find the previous newsletters
here.
First I will
tell you about the latest updates of Final Frontier Media. These news
Items will be larger then the news item you can read at the website. Final Frontier Media can't
exist without other
websites on the net. Therefore there will be a subspace section in
every newsletter. In "subspace" I'll tell you something about an
other website. Every newsletter will end with some writings from me
about my website, or the newsletter or something completely
different. At the bottom of the newsletter you can read how to
contact me or how you unsubscribe from this newsletter. On the left
side you can see an a small table of contents. By clicking on them
you can navigate through the newsletter.
This is the fourth newsletter from Final Frontier Media. The
holiday is over and normal life is taking over now. Again there is a
lot to tell in this newsletter. There are three new music videos,
new pictures, new awards and overall site updates.
After 4 months the time is finally there. My new music video is
finished. It's called "In Caelum Fero", after the title of the music
I used. This video is about DS9. You can see the main characters,
but also recurring characters and visual effects. I've used footage
from over 40 episodes of Deep Space Nine. The music is great and due
the high pace every second there is a new scene to be seen. This
means you get a lot of DS9 to see. When I watched the finished music
video of mine, I did get an urgent need of watching DS9 again. So
after watching DS9 season 1 through 7 already six times, I'm on my
way for the seventh time.
"In Caelum Fero" is the second DS9 Tribute created
by Final Frontier Media
Some meat, main part of the StarTrek.nl BBQ Meeting
videos and pictures.
More news
The other two music videos are from the StarTrek.nl BBQ that was
held in July 2006. One is an uncut version. The other version is
altered. There are sound effects added, There are interruptions, so
you can watch something completely different. After watching this,
you can only think of laughing. A good job done by mr_Vulcan. All
three music videos can be found in the
music videos
section.
There is a new section added to the website. It's the Award section.
Already there are four new awards added in this section. Many
thanks go out to the website who presented the awards to me. The
awards show me that this isn't the best website of the web, but it
isn't a bad one either. The new section can be found
here.
The pictures of R2D2 from the last StarTrek.nl BBQ are resized back
to 1024 X 768, resulting in one 52MB file in stead of 9 files of
100MB. I'll hope you enjoy them. You can find the pictures
here.
There are four new links added to the links section. Two links
direct to sites who gave FFM an award. There is a link added to a
search engine and to a star trek website. Visit the sites, the
owners deserve a visit for all the work they have to do. You can
find the sites
here.
Finally there are some minor updates throughout the website. The
disclaimer at the bottom of every page is changed and some spelling
mistakes are removed. Unfortunately the Rik Report server is down
for several days. I hope it will be online halfway next week.
Holiday is over and the music video I was working on is finished. So
what will I do in the near future. Well, I'm already started with a
new music video, but almost nothing is certain, the music isn't yet
chosen and the subject could change. It will be a Deep Space Nine
tribute, but then focusing at one character. Which one it will be,
isn't clear yet.
I'm still looking for people who do create music videos so I can add
them to the collection. Also stories or comments about my website
are welcome. If you write comments and you want it that's it will be
in the next newsletter, make sure you write more then a few words.
All ideas or comments can be send to me through the contact form,
which you can find
here.
When you want to publish your music video you can do the same.
This time in the subspace bulletin is the website "Federation
Datalink" With most of the news in this newsletter is
especially for the Dutch Star Trek fans at StarTrek.nl
Forums, the site presented here is also in Dutch. The
website contains a great Star Trek database all in Dutch.
From ships to important people. The website is divided into
several sections like Federation, Cardassian, Dominion,
Klingon etc. You can also find some R&R at the website like
a quiz and several games. You can find a synopsis and cast
information about every episode from every Star Trek series.
There are also small pictures from every episode. In my
opinion this is the largest and best Dutch Star Trek
database.
It's worth a look. Unfortunately, this website doesn't exist anymore (14 September 2008)
Well, a new time is at hand. I'm going to work full days from now on
and that means I only have the evenings to work at my site or music
videos. Maybe I have now more time, but that remains to be seen.
I'll try to maintain the monthly update, but as you can see the
updates last two months where huge, so it's possible to increase the
rate of updates. It could happen that due to lack of time that I
have to decrease the update rate. But that's all speculating. I hope
you people can enjoy this updates. I hope this website keeps growing
and that in the future this site will be known by most of the star
trek fans all over the world.
This newsletter can also be read at the website.
