Welcome

This is the 25th newsletter from Final Frontier Media and the 4th of 2009. You can find the previous newsletters here. First I will tell you about the latest updates of Final Frontier Media. This will be divided into months for this newsletter. Last year I introduced a new subject, which is called "Music videos of the month". Two music videos will be highlighted every month. In the Opinions section you can find opinions about music videos which are stated on YouTube, BBS/Forum or E-mail. The Subspace section will tell you something about other websites. You can read a in "The Undiscovered Country something of what I'm going to do in the future with this website. A new part of the newsletter is "Trexperience". I will talk about my experience with Star Trek on some level. Every newsletter will end with some writings from me about my website, the newsletter or something completely different. At the bottom of the newsletter you can read how to contact me and how you (un)subscribe (from) to this newsletter. At the left you can see a small table of contents. By clicking at it you can navigate through the newsletter.

Updates

This is the 25th newsletter from Final Frontier Media and the fourth of 2009. For the first time this year I believe the newsletter is on time. Last two months were great months for my updates and i've done a lot. In September this site went through the 300 music videos milestone.

Again the news is divided into months. This will be September and October. There will be more about September, because the updates were larger.

In the two months there were four updates. A total of 23 new music videos and 2 links were added. The History section, the sitemap and statistics were updated. Three new categories and several new YouTube links were added this two months.

There are now more than 300 music videos available.

September #1

In September a total of 15 music videos and two new categories were added. The first new category is that of T'Gin. She creates mostly Spock/Kirk slash music videos. There are all ready three music videos available. They are beautifully done and are all ready my favourites. There will be a lot more in the future, so keep it touch. You can find her category here.

The category of Belanna is expanded from two to three pages. This means she has more than 40 music videos. A total of 4 were added and with 44 music videos she is now the biggest contributor to this website. More will follow. This time I added two music videos about the Voyager crew and two about the relationship between Chakotay and Janeway. These four and the other forty music videos can be found in her category, Belanna.

The categories Nephtys59 and Casper are now for a while available through this website. Casper more than a year and Nephtys59 more than half a year. Both categories are updated regularly and in September for both two new music videos were added. Two Enterprise videos by Nephtys59 and two Voyager videos by Casper.

September #2

And again I can say I've created a new music video. This time it's called Ancient West. It's a tribute to the episode which are a tribute to Western Movies. There are only three episodes in Star Trek with a Western subject. I hope you like it. You can find it in the category Final Frontier Media.

The second new category is called StarTrekFans.net. A lot of people which are a member of that site creates music videos. These music videos will be added in this new category. The first two are all ready added and more will follow. Most music videos will be about Deep Space nine. You can find the category here.

Beside the updates of the sitemap and the statistics I've added two new links. T'Gin and StarTrekFans.net. T'Gin has a website with music videos about Star Trek, Harry Potter and much more. StarTrekFans.net is a fan community with a large forum.

I've also changed the History section. Because the information which was from May 2008 was all ready outdated at some points. New screenshots were added and the story is changed. If you're interested in the creation of this website you can find everything you want to know in the History section. Enjoy it.

October

In October the third new music video category, called Waitingfor2008 is added. The first two music videos she has created had annoying text in the middle, but all her other music videos will be free of that. Her first two music videos are now available for download. Subject of Waitinfor2008 music videos is Deep Space Nine You can find them here.

Not only the category of Belanna is expanded, but the category of the other well known Voyager music video creator Mistyfur is also expanded. There are now two pages of music videos, but with 22 music videos, only half of what belanna has. But still a lot to come. Enjoy the latest music videos of her, here.

In the last newsletter of August McCoySpock Love was the newest vidder on this website. Now three new ones are added and McCoySpock Love had all ready 6 music videos online. Still her music videos are hugely popular and again this month two new music videos about Spock and McCoy were added which brings the total at 8 music videos. Enjoy the music videos of McCoySpock Love.

Also in October the Archive, Sitemap and Newsletter section are updated. In September and October I've uploaded again a lot of deleted material from YouTube. This time I've said the claims doesn't apply here. Now almost every music video of Final Frontier Media and Belanna are available through YouTube. More music videos of other categories will follow. You can find them at my YouTube Channel.

Music videos of the month

In this last year introduced part of the newsletter two music videos are chosen to be the Music videos of the month. One of the music videos deserve the recognition because of the statistics. This can be sudden popularity or just the opposite. The second music video will be one I choose because of my personal opinion of it.

Music video #1 - Brother in Arms (Mary S. van Deusen)

This music video is one of the last which I've added and was created by Mary S. van Deusen. After Grey Geese, Stay the Night, New Math and Photgraphs and Memories belongs Brother in Arms to the most popular music videos created by Mary. Since a few months the amount of downloads is increasing a lot. Within no time this music video entered the top 50 and you now can find it back at place 34. Love it!
Music video #2 - Captain James T. Kirk (Scifispace)

This is one of my favourite music videos and is also on the 23rd place in the music video top 50. This music video was one of the two first videos uploaded from ScifiSpace.net back in March 2006. In that same month the Music videos section was redesigned to current standards. All though it's a small music video, the music is well chosen and therefore this music video has a great impact on me. Really great! Enjoy it.

Although short, this clip is very special. The right choice of music and some good editing. This small tribute to Captain Kirk gives me a special feeling, a desire to the "old days". All footage is used from Star Trek : Generations.

Subspace

 Your site here? Contact me

This time in the subspace bulletin is the website "Ex Astris Scientia". This is probably one of the most well known Star Trek site. You can find a lot here. From reviews, pictures and blue prints to Character Bios, Inconsistencies and a forum. This site is so large that you can spend days of spitting it inside out. Because it's so well known you have to pay it a visit if you never heard of it and I don't need to tell anyone about this site, if you know it all ready. You can find the site here.

Future plans

It looks like every time I publish a newsletter I've also created a music video. This time it's Ancient West. I don't know if I have a new music video in December, but everything's possible.

There are no big updates expected in the near future. This year my server will probably be replaced by a new, more green one. So for now everything stays calm and new videos will be added every month. If you've suggestions, please let me know.

I'm still looking for people who do create music videos so I can add them to the collection. Also stories or comments about my website are welcome. If you write comments and you want that it will be in the next newsletter, make sure you write more than a few words. All ideas or comments can be send to me through the contact form, which you can find here. When you want to publish your music video you can do the same.

The Undiscovered Country

Trexperience it yourself!

Trexperience

In this new section of the newsletter I will gave my opinion about something I see or experience in Star Trek. As reader of this newsletter you can respond by sending me a message. In this will the experience will go on, from newsletter to newsletter.

It's almost November and that means the latest Star Trek movie will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray. For the first time a lot of unique possible sets are available to buy. You can but it with a model of the Enterprise, in a special communicator look-a-like boxset, 2DVD, 3Blu-Ray, 1DVD, etc. The choices are endless. Are you going to buy the DVD or Blu-Ray and which possible option do you choose?
Let me know!

The admin

Summer is gone, Holiday is over, hello Autumn. It's getting cold, windy and a lot of rain. It's wonderful weather to go online and visit my website. Download every music video, enjoy them, tell your friends to come here and let them download everything too. That would be very nice. Popularity is dropping a bit lately but that's normal in summer, but also September was a disappointing month.

But furthermore, I'll keep going on.

Greetings from Zwolle.
