First I will tell you about the latest updates of Final Frontier
Media. This will be divided into months for this newsletter. Last year I
introduced a new subject, which is called "Music videos of the
month". Two music videos will be highlighted every month. In the
Opinions section you can find opinions about music videos which are
stated on YouTube, BBS/Forum or E-mail. The Subspace section will
tell you something about other websites. You can read a in "The
Undiscovered Country something of what I'm going to do in the future
with this website. A new part of the newsletter is "Trexperience".
I will talk about my experience with Star Trek on some level. Every
newsletter will end with some writings from me about my website,
the newsletter or something completely different. At the bottom of
the newsletter you can read how to contact me and how you (un)subscribe
from this newsletter. On the left side you can see a small table of
contents. By clicking on them you can navigate through the
newsletter.
This is the 24th newsletter from Final Frontier Media and the
third of 2009. Again the newsletter is at a later date than
expected. It has been difficult to work for this website the last
two months. Hopefully the next few months will give me enough time.
Again the news is divided into months. Because there were not much
updates this newsletter won't be that long.
In the three months there were four updates. A total of 10 new music
videos and 4 links were added. The
Star Trek 2009 section is
completely redone and de
sitemap and
statistics were updated. All
together it's not much.
In June a total of 6 music videos were added. Two of them were
created by Mistyfur and two by
Nephtys59. As well known by now is
that the music videos created by
Mistyfur are all Star Trek Voyager
based. The latest two are no exception. As often seen in Voyager
Music Videos is the possible relationship between Chakotay and
Janeway a popular subject.
Mistyfur has been creative in using this
relationship in the music video Tainted Love.
Nephtys59 her music videos were added in February and May. Again
this month two new music videos were added. All of
Nephtys59 music
videos are about Star Trek Enterprise. For now in all her music
videos T'Pol plays a important part or her relationship with Captain
Archer. The two added music videos this month are just like that.
I was contacted through my contact section by
Pauley79. He had
created a tribute for the Enterprise. After downloading his music
video and watching it, there was no choice left then to add the
music video to this website. I hope more people will follow the
example of Pauley79.

All though the lack off motivation this year I've created my 12th
music video. It's my second TNG Tribute on 90's song Waterfall by
Atlantic Ocean. It's called
Hailing Frequencies. I admit it has some
unusual music for a Star Trek Music Video, but with the way I edited
this video it fits perfectly, in my opinion. The first opinions on
several forums were only not positive and that's not something I
hoped for. But that doesn't mean, your opinion would be like that.
Just let me know what you think of it. On a technical point this was
a rather difficult music video to create. Just like my other
Tributes, I hope many will follow.
I've also changed the
Star
Trek 2009 section. Because the movie had been released in May
and no new hot items will be released. I've put everything into
zip-files and neatly organised it, for easy download. In time this
part of the website will transfer to the
archive
section.

The update of the 23rd of August was actually planned for July. But
due to my work I couldn't finish the update. This newsletter was
also planned for July, but ended with the same reason in August.
However, still four music videos were
added and two new links.
Two music videos were created by
McCoySpock Love. The newest vidder
added to this website. Her music videos are very popular as you can
see in the statistics. All ready two music videos in the top 10 of
2009. If you like TOS and Slash music videos, this is the place to
be. You can find other TOS music videos in the category of
Mary van
Deusen.
Two other music videos are from
PG15.
PG15 all ready had a music
video on this website. Since August 2006 the music video "Fix you"
was available for download in the section "other". The video is
quite popular and is on the 19th place in the top 50. Since February
2009 PG15 got his own section and since then several new music
videos have been added. The latest two are "May it be" and
"Everybody's fool".
Also in August two new
links were
added. One to
SFseries.nl. A dutch website about science-fiction series and
movies. Everything is in Dutch and it's quite extensive. The second
site is
Trekpictures.tk. A site recently found by me and it's full of
pictures, movies, and other stuff. Worth to look around. You can
find them in the
links
section.
In this last year introduced part of the newsletter two music videos are chosen to be
the Music videos of the month. One of the music videos deserve the
recognition because of the statistics. This can be sudden popularity
or just the opposite. The second music video will be one I choose
because of my personal opinion of it.
This music video was one of the first six music videos created by
Linsey which were added to this website. Because of the name I was
afraid a lot of people would download the music videos, but I was
wrong. On the contrary, the music videos isn't that popular at all.
It has only been downloaded 11 times in the last 18 months. This
music video deserves more!
This is one of the first music video I had found on the internet.
Beside the Sabatoj and CoolKyle (Pixelworks) music videos, I had
several music video with unknown creators. This is one of them. In
my opinion it's still one of the best Star Trek Music videos
available. This music video is on the 29th place in the top 50 of
music videos.
Lately I got a lot of response on YouTube videos. Several of those
opinions can be read here.

Dukat was one of the greatest villains of Star Trek history. At
least, until he got mixed up with the Pah Wraiths. But his scenes
with Ziyal were especially touching. Showed that a villainous man
always has some love in his heart. -

This time in the subspace bulletin is the website "Outpost
10F".
This website is a large online Sci-Fi & Fantasy community.
Fans of Star Trek, Star Wars and Lord of the Rings are
welcome. The site exists since August of 1997. The website
is divided into several departments, Just like a real space
station. It's nice to see that every department has it own
looks. The website is very large and has much to offer. Just
take a look and enjoy! You can find the site

In the last newsletter I talked about a new music video. Well this
music video is all ready realised and online since June. This
doesn't mean I'm not working on a new music video. I'm looking for
some good music, for the subject I have in mind. But if I can't find
it, I've a lot of different music ready to be used. You'll hear from
me.
In the last newsletter I said the final update of the Star Trek 2009
section was done. Now as promised the section is redone and
everything is neatly organised. When the new movie is in sight this
section will be moved to the archive.
I Don't have further plans for the near future. I'm still awaiting
the Final Frontier Media Award. When this is available then the
Award section will be changed.
I'm still looking for people who do create music videos so I can add
them to the collection. Also stories or comments about my website
are welcome. If you write comments and you want that it will be in
the next newsletter, make sure you write more than a few words. All
ideas or comments can be send to me through the contact form, which

here. When you want to publish your music video you can do the
same.
In this new section of the newsletter I will gave my opinion about
something I see or experience in Star Trek. As reader of this
newsletter you can respond by sending me
a message. In this will the
experience will go on, from newsletter to newsletter.
While the talk about the Star Trek 2009 movie is stumbled away, the
gossips about the new movie are started. A lot of "news" could all
ready be seen on several Star Trek News sites. How about the return
of Kahn or even Harry Mudd. In my opinion I hope they don't use Kahn
anymore. They would really be kicking against the Star Trek Base. On
the contrary it would be fun to use Harry Mudd, but how do you
create a movie around him. He's not really a bad guy, but more like
a Q, a funny pain in the ass.
But what other stories could be told. How about the building of the
Vulcan Colony. How about a Klingon Story, or Romulan. Also the movie
could tell something were Star Trek was always best in, Discussing
difficult topics of "American" society. There is so much to do, what
do you want to see.
Let me know!
Again a busy period closed. With some luck I won't be that busy till
the end of the year. Luck in favour of this website off course, for
my work I hope it will be busy. I hope I can do a lot the upcoming
weeks. I've now holiday so all the time in the world.
Last newsletter I told I was watching DS9 and West Wing. I stopped
with both of them DS9 after three seasons and West Wing before the
end of the first season. I'm now busy watching Voyager, Hotel
Babylon and several Movies I bought on DVD. I'm almost finished with
Hotel Babylon, but maybe I'll start with T.J. Hooker, with William
Shatner. All together I love watching DVD's.
But I'll leave you alone now and continue enjoying my Holiday.
