This is the 22nd newsletter from Final Frontier Media and the 1st of
2009. You can
find the previous newsletters
here.
First I will
tell you about the latest updates of Final Frontier Media. These news
Items will be larger than the news item you can read at the website.
Last year I introduced a new subject, which is called "Music videos of the month".
Two music videos will be highlighted every month. In the Opinions
section you can find opinions about music videos which are stated on
YouTube, BBS/Forum or E-mail. The Subspace section will tell you something about
other websites. You can read a in "The undiscovered Country
something of what I'm going to do in the future with this website. Every newsletter will end with some writings from me
about my website, or the newsletter or something completely
different. At the bottom of the newsletter you can read how to
contact me or how you unsubscribe from this newsletter. On the left
side you can see a small table of contents. By clicking on them
you can navigate through the newsletter.
This is the 22ndnewsletter from Final Frontier Media and the
first of 2009. Normally I write only a newsletter at the end of an
even month, but November and December weren't done, so some
information from those months, will be in this newsletter.
Furthermore, a new year with new opportunities.
Off course in December and November not a lot has done, due to
moving houses. But in January all ready 10 new music videos have
been added. Two new links have been added. Also new functionality is
added. Also some bad news this month. YouTube has removed a lot of
music videos from my account.
Because ending with good news is better I start with the bad news.
Youtube has removed a lot of music videos, because they couldn't
agree with Warner Music Groep (WMG). They own a lot of licences when
it becomes to music. At least twenty music videos have been removed.
Therefore those music videos are only available for download at the
moment. So it's important to keep in touch with the website, to hear
everything about the new music videos.

More news
Only two new links were added this month. A link to Janet's Star
Trek Voyager website. A very large website about Star Trek Voyager.
It will take some time to see it all. Also I have added a link to
Strekonline.com. A website which provide a lot of screenshot about
Star Trek and a lot of other series. You can find the new links
in the Links
section.
I've added the latest Star Trek 2009 Theatrical Trailer. It's the
2nd version with the older Spock at the end. In my opinion this is a
little bit better trailer then the 1st version. It's a bit late, but
it's online. You can find this trailer in the category
Paramount
in the music videos section.
Also one new music video is added in the Other Category. It's
created by some one who would like to be anonymous. The music video
is called Strange Tapestries and is about the Next Generation
episode Tapestry. A very nice, good and even funny music video about
this great episode. You can find the music video in the category
Other.
More news
Two new music videos, Kiss Kiss and Closer, created by Mistyfur
are added this month. Both are off course Star Trek Voyager music
videos. Both music videos are about the friendship and possible love
between Captain Janeway and Commander Chakotay, it's just through
which eyes your looking. You can find the music videos
here.
In the category Scifispace I've added a total of 4 music videos. Two
of them are created by Lennart, One by Roelof P. and one by Daniel.
The music video Equinox is about the double parter Equinox from Star
Trek Voyager. A video full of action. In the end is about the last
few episodes (exception of mirror episodes) of Star Trek Enterprise.
Music is from Coldplay. Before it's to Late is a wonderful music
videos about Friendship and love in Star Trek Deep Space Nine. After
the Only Time Remake, one fan remarked; "where's the original", well
here it is. Only Time, created by Daniel. You can find all music
videos in the
Scifispace
Category.

The last two music videos I added this month are created by Linsey
and are called: "Strong enough" and "Push it all aside". In both
music videos Malcom Reed is the subject. In Push it all aside it's
about him and his buddy Trip. In Strong enough it's about his
"relationship" with Captain Jonathan Archer. Both are great music
videos and you can find them
here.
At almost every page I've added the "back to top" functionality. At
some pages you have to scroll a lot and the menu is only at the top
of a page. By using the back to top button, you don't have to scroll
that much and you save time.
Every month I update the Archives with old news and update the
statistics with the latest download numbers of all music videos.
These information is available at the statistics page. So if you're
interested in what the most popular music videos are, overall, last
month, this year, last year, etc. Please take a visit to the
statistics by clicking
here.
In this last year introduced part of the newsletter two music videos are chosen to be
the Music videos of the month. One of the music videos deserve the
recognition because of the statistics. This can be sudden popularity
or just the opposite. The second music video will be one I choose
because of my personal opinion of it.
This was the opening movie of FedCon X back in 2002. This video is
wonderful and a true tribute to Star Trek. This video is part of
this website from almost the beginning. Last month it was very
popular and did go up six places in the top 50 downloads of music
videos. Enjoy it!
This music video is the first real music video I've made and I'm
still proud of it. It was much more difficult to create this music
video than it looks. Because of the images this music video never
was viewable at Youtube. In 2006 and 2007 it was in the top 10 of
downloads and it was the most downloaded music video in 2008. I
know, you'll love this.
This clip is the second one I made with the subject Star Trek. This one
is about the death of Spock from Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. The clip is of high quality
In October I created the music video "The Moment". Here you can read
some opinions stated on several BBS or Fora around the World Wide
Web.
That was amazing, perfect in fact.... I have saved it..... and it
does make me want to watch the movies again, it's time for a
marathon..... Great job... it made my day! - V-seven at
"Startrekfans.net"
that was pretty cool, way better than anything i could ever do
- Sini at "Startrekfans.net"
Very nice. Thanks for sharing your work. Goal acheived. - sbk1234 at "TrekBBS"
This is cool but LONG. I can only take so much Kenny G. However,
there was another video on the page I liked-In Caelum Fero, I think
it was called. Played it for my wife and she said, "That was totally
mesmerizing!" Which is coming from a non-fan, mind you. Good work. -
Mistral at "TrekBBS"
It was lovely - it was fun to see all of the visually exciting
shots! - Terylinn at "Trekunited.com"
Your comments in the BBS or Fora are always welcome. Also Youtube
Comments are welcome. You can also enter comments in the
contact section.
This time in the subspace bulletin is the website "Renefiles.com".
This is the official site of the actor René Auberjonois, who
plays Odo in Star Trek Deep Space Nine and Ezral in the
Episode Oasis of Star Trek Enterprise. The website is full
of unique information about René, upcoming appearances,
convention reports, René and Star Trek, René and Boston
Legal. You can also take a membership on the ORACLE
newsmagazine. It's well known that the money René earns at
conventions are donated to charity organizations. If you
want to know everything about René Auberjonois, visit this
website. You can find the site
here.
I'm still looking for people who do create music videos so I can add
them to the collection. Also stories or comments about my website
are welcome. If you write comments and you want that it will be in
the next newsletter, make sure you write more than a few words. All
ideas or comments can be send to me through the contact form, which
you can find
here. When you want to publish your music video you can do the
same.
In the near future I'm going to update the StarTrek 2009 section.
All the latest images and possible videos will be added. Due to my
absence in November and December I wasn't able to keep this section
updated.
I'm still busy to changing the website. I want all pages consequent
in fonts, menu, sub-menu, etc. It will take some time before this is
done because there are a lot of things that need to be done, and it
isn't the most enjoyable thing to do.
Furthermore I'm again started with a new music video. It came at me
when writing this newsletter and watching all the music videos
available here. So when I've news, you will here it as soon as
possible.
Well it's 2009 and all ready the first month is coming to an end.
I'm finally coming to a rest after moving houses. This means I've now
time to work again at the website, music videos and maybe more. So
please stay in touch.
Furthermore everything is now okay here. I don't have to say much at
the moment. I'm just excited that the website is doing well and you
all are keep visiting and downloading. Keep spreading the word and
see you online.
Greetings from Zwolle.
