Welcome

This is the twentieth newsletter from Final Frontier Media. You can find the previous newsletters here. First I will tell you about the latest updates of Final Frontier Media. These news Items will be larger than the news item you can read at the website. A new part of the newsletter are the "Music videos of the month". Final Frontier Media can't exist without other websites on the net. Therefore there will be a subspace section in every newsletter. In "subspace" I'll tell you something about other websites. Every newsletter will end with some writings from me about my website, or the newsletter or something completely different. At the bottom of the newsletter you can read how to contact me or how you unsubscribe from this newsletter. On the left side you can see a small table of contents. By clicking on them you can navigate through the newsletter.

News

This is the 20th newsletter from Final Frontier Media. Last two months were holiday time. As always this time of year not a lot of people visit the website. This doesn't mean no updates have been done.

A total of 15 new music videos, several pictures, new links several small updates have been done. Because in the last newsletter there was no extra information about the added music videos, 10 of them are also counted in this newsletter.

First I discuss the two new links which are added. It has been a long time, but there's something to add. Also I have deleted several links because they didn't return the favour or there not updated anymore. This is something that returns. I hope this will change when the new movie is released. The two links are a fairly new Star Trek forum, called "Star Trek Unlimited". It's only a year old and still growing. The other website is a Dutch website called "The Final Frontier". It's mostly about the Star Trek series Voyager and Enterprise. You can find the new links here. If you have a website which is not mentioned in my link section? let me know!

This month also the Star Trek 2009 section is updated. Several posters have been added which became public last weeks. Enjoy, click here to go there.

More news

15 New music videos were added last two months. Four of them are added in two newly created categories called TLI and Casper. TLI  stands for "The Libran Iniquity". TLI has not created many Star Trek Music videos yet. The first two are online. Both of them are Deep Space Nine music videos. Were most DS9 music videos are focussed on the Dominion War, TLI's music videos are focussed on other parts of DS9. Like the connection between Benjamin Sisko and the Prophets or just some special DS9 moments. You can find the music videos here.

Casper is the well known animated friendly ghost. Also it's the nickname for someone who create Voyager Music Videos. Most Voyager music videos are about the relationship between Janeway and Chakotay. Casper does has that kind of music videos, but most of them are focussed on other subjects. Enjoy this music videos here.

Two other authors who create Voyager Music Videos are Belanna and Mistyfur. Both of them have all ready several music videos online. In July for both, two new music videos are added. For Belanna there's a music video added about the relationship between Janeway and Chakotay. The second music video is about Captain Janeway. It's really a great music video and a personal favourite of mine. You can find her music videos here.

One music video of Mistyfur is about Janeway and Chakotay (What else?). The story is well told in the music video. The other music video is a trailer created for a fan fiction story which can be read at Mistyfur's website. You can find the music videos here.

More news

The Linsey category is also updated with two music videos about Star Trek Enterprise. Special to mention is the music video Vengababes, which consists only of blooper material. You can find her music videos here.

Also in the category Scifispace two new music videos about Enterprise are added. Both are created by Daniel. One is about the last episode of Star Trek : Enterprise. It's a short video which act like a sort of summary. The other music videos is called "into the west". The song which is used is perfect and some good scenes have been used. You can find the music videos here.

In the category Other two music videos from creator Project Lycan have been added. Both are about the TNG movies. Both music videos are just great and some wonderful scenes are used. A good tribute to the movies. You can find the music videos here.

It has been almost half a year, but yes, I've created a new music video. It's called "Fight for survival". It's about the Dominion war in DS9. A lot of music videos of DS9 have this subject. I tried to show it a little bit different, with more than only fighting ships and SFX. Also personal combat and sadness can be found in this music video. It was a real challenge to create the music video, but I think it turned out just great. You can find the music video here.

General Martok: "War is much more fun when you're winning.

Music videos of the month

In this new part of the newsletter two music videos are chosen to be the Music videos of the month. One of the music videos deserve the recognition because of the statistics. This can be sudden popularity or just the opposite. The second music video will be one I choose because of my personal opinion of it.
Music video #1 - Bring me to Life (Other)

This music video since this music video came online, it was never pointing the right link until several months ago. It's only downloaded a few time, so for most people probably unknown. Enjoy this wonderful music video.
Music video #2 - Ready to go (Kristy)

This music video is a personal favourite of mine. I love the music which is used. One of the few TNG tributes available on this website for now. Truly a great music video. Enjoy this well created music video..

Future plans

In the previous newsletter I mentioned that I was busy with a new music video, well it's finished. You can download and watch it now. About the project with Scifispace.net webmaster Roelof P. I told it will be finished this year, But that's more a "I hope it will". Unfortunately nothing is certain.

I expect to change the pictures section, add more PHP, add more music videos and add an FFM award. It's depending on a lot of things what will be done and when. Because of the change in my private life I don't know how much time I have for the rest of this year. So fingers crossed.

I'm still looking for people who do create music videos so I can add them to the collection. Also stories or comments about my website are welcome. If you write comments and you want that it will be in the next newsletter, make sure you write more than a few words. All ideas or comments can be send to me through the contact form, which you can find here. When you want to publish your music video you can do the same.

This time in the subspace bulletin is the website "Section47 Elite 200". This website is a top list of Star Trek websites. You can find here a lot of RPG websites. If you're interested in joining a sim group or PBEM than take a look here. It's not strange because the Section47 is a simming group itself which exists for over 7 years. Beside RPG websites you can find a lot more Star Trek Websites. You can find the site here.

The admin

Well, most people had there holiday in the last two months. It's really strange, how quickly the time has passed. For me personally a lot of things have changed. I have bought a house together with my girlfriend. So most of the time will be used for other things than my website.

This also mean that before the end of this year, or just at the start of next year, the FFM sever will be offline. It's really exciting. For the people who still are free, enjoy the days and good luck for the people who are back to work.

Greetings from Zwolle.
