Welcome

This is the nineteenth newsletter from Final Frontier Media. You can find the previous newsletters here. First I will tell you about the latest updates of Final Frontier Media. These news Items will be larger than the news item you can read at the website. A new part of the newsletter are the Music videos of the month. Final Frontier Media can't exist without other websites on the net. Therefore there will be a subspace section in every newsletter. In "subspace" I'll tell you something about other websites. Every newsletter will end with some writings from me about my website, or the newsletter or something completely different. At the bottom of the newsletter you can read how to contact me or how you unsubscribe from this newsletter. On the left side you can see a small table of contents. By clicking on them you can navigate through the newsletter.

News

This is the 19th newsletter from Final Frontier Media. Last two months my time was reserved for more important business than this website. Therefore this newsletter and all updates were several days delayed.

Only one update last month and four updates in May. A total of 14 new music videos, complete new sections and sub-sections and new pictures are added.

For once there will be less information about the 14 music videos and more about the other updates. The only room reserved for the music videos in this newsletter will be the pictures. Beside these new videos also two new categories. It has been a long time before new categories were added. This time the category The Libran Iniquity, tli is added. This author has created two Star Trek DS9 music videos so far, but will create more. The second new categorie is for Author Casper. Casper has created several Star Trek Voyager music videos, and two of them are now online at Final Frontier Media. You can find both new categories in the music videos section.

More news

There is a new section, it's called About. In that section several existing section are placed and several new sub-section are created. The section Banner and Contact are two of the existing section. History is also added, but the information in that section is far more than before. This is definitely worth while watching. You can find this section here.

A new sub-section is the sitemap. It's probably not the most genius way to show a sitemap, but it does fit with the used design. Here you can find every page that's available  at this website. Don't be shy, take a look, click here.

Another sub-section is the Timeline. A section which is at the moment small, but will grow in time. It's a section with images of a timeline with important milestones. There will be more in the future, but you can see some of that now. You can find this section here.

More news

The last sub-section added in the section About is the section which I like the most. It does cost a lot of time, to update it every month, but it's very "cool" to do it. I talk about the statistics section. Some months ago I learned that the log-file of my ftp server was filled with data all the way back to 2006. Since than I've collected information and combined it. This information will now be used for the section statistics.

In this section you can find a top 50 of music videos. How much a music video is downloaded from the Final Frontier Media server is counted. Also you can find the most populair music videos per month and per year. The total visits per month for this website can also be found. Statistics grow every month. It is really interesting. The statistics is also input for the Music videos of the month. You can find this wonderful section here.

Music videos of the month

In this new part of the newsletter two music videos are chosen to be the Music videos of the month. One of the music videos deserve the recognition because of the statistics. This can be sudden popularity or just the opposite. The second music video will be one I choose because of my personal opinion of it.
Music video #1 - Fallen heroes (Scifispace)

This music video is the most popular in this year, 2008 at the moment. Therefore this will be the first music video which will be a Music video of the month.
Music video #2 - The ancient legend (Belanna)

This music video is a personal favourite of mine. Wonderful drawings are used, the music is perfect. Everything about this video is just great. A must see. Enjoy.

Future plans

Last time I talked about a new section, called About. Well that section has been made and is all ready a little success. Maybe it's not interesting for everyone, but I like it. There are a few next steps I want to take for this website. First big change will possibly the Final Frontier Media Award. When this will happen is still uncertain. Furthermore I want to expand the use of PHP at this website. Lack of knowlegde is the reason at the moment for why this isn't done yet.

"After creating "At your side" I hope to create more music videos this year. It would be great if I could reach five music videos for this year." I Said this 4 months ago. Soon after "At your side" I did create a new music video. At the moment I'm also busy with a new music video. There's more to come. There's also a project running with Scifispace.net webmaster Roelof P. This will also be finished this year.

I'm still looking for people who do create music videos so I can add them to the collection. Also stories or comments about my website are welcome. If you write comments and you want that it will be in the next newsletter, make sure you write more than a few words. All ideas or comments can be send to me through the contact form, which you can find here. When you want to publish your music video you can do the same.

This time in the subspace bulletin is the website "Mistyfur Fanfiction". A short time ago Mistyfur has changed her website. From a free hosting service to a paid one. She has also changed the lay-out by using Efiction. The core-business of Mistyfurs website is Star Trek Voyager fanfiction. Stories from several authors can be read here. Mistyfur also create Star Trek Voyager music videos. These videos are available for download at Final Frontier Media, but she also has them on her own website. Certainly, this website is a must for every Star Trek Voyager fan.  You can find the site here.
